Honk is built on a simple principle: your travel data belongs to you. This policy explains what that actually means in practice.
Last updated: March 2026
Honk has no account system, no server, no analytics, and no tracking. The app does not collect, store, or transmit your personal data. Everything stays on your device and in your personal iCloud account.
Honk is an independent iOS application developed by a solo developer. There is no company, no team, no corporate structure behind this app. "We" and "Honk" in this document refer to the developer of the Honk iOS application.

None.
Honk does not collect any personal data. The app has no backend server, no account system, no registration process, and no mechanism to transmit your data to any third party.
Specifically, Honk does not collect:
All data you enter into Honk — trips, flights, hotels, activities, restaurants, journal entries, emergency contacts, travel documents — is stored in two places:
Honk has no visibility into your iCloud data. There is no dashboard, no admin panel, no way for the developer to access, view, or retrieve your trip data. Apple's CloudKit infrastructure manages the sync entirely.
When you import a booking confirmation — whether from an email, PDF, image, or pasted text — the parsing happens entirely on your device.
No content you import is transmitted to any server for processing. The import text is read, parsed, and discarded in memory. Only the structured data that Honk extracts (flight number, dates, hotel name, etc.) is saved — the raw import text is not retained.
Honk's subscriptions are handled entirely through Apple's App Store and StoreKit framework. Honk does not process payments directly and does not receive or store your payment information. All billing, receipts, and subscription management are handled by Apple.
When you subscribe, Apple provides Honk with a transaction receipt confirming your subscription status. This receipt is verified on-device. No payment data is transmitted to Honk.
Subscription management (cancellation, upgrades, family sharing) is done through the App Store — Settings → Apple ID → Subscriptions on iPhone, or the App Store app on Mac.
Honk uses no third-party analytics services, advertising networks, crash reporting tools, or tracking SDKs. The app contains no third-party code that contacts external servers.
The only external service Honk uses is Apple's CloudKit for iCloud sync. This is governed by Apple's own privacy policy. Honk has no relationship with any other service provider.
This website (honktravel.com) is a static site hosted on AWS S3. It uses no analytics, no cookies, no tracking scripts, and no third-party services. It does not use Google Analytics, Meta Pixel, or any similar service. There are no cookies set. Nothing about your visit is recorded.
This site loads no external resources. All fonts are system fonts — no downloads, no third-party requests.
Honk does not knowingly collect any information from children under 13. Since the app collects no personal data from anyone, this is guaranteed by design rather than policy.
To delete your Honk data:
There is no account to delete because there is no account.
If this policy changes in a material way, the updated version will be posted here with a new date. Since Honk does not collect contact information, we cannot notify users directly. Check this page if you want to stay current.
The core principle — Honk does not collect your data — will not change. If that ever became untrue, this policy would say so clearly before the change took effect.
